Delta dell’

Ebro

AUMET

A Beautiful place in

a beautiful location

The Delta del Ebro is the largest wetland in Catalonia, with an area of 320 km2. It is one of the most important aquatic habitats of the western Mediterranean. In 1983, the Generalitat of Catalonia approved the creation of the Ebro Delta Natural Park, which occupies the Montsià regions (right hemidelta) and of the Baix Ebre (left hemidelta). Of the populations that are part of the right hemidelta, we highlight Amposta, which together with the Poblenou del Delta, has a greater representation of inhabitants. The interpretation center of the lagoons of the Delta del Ebro Natural Park is located in the Balsa de la Encanyissada. From the left hemidelta, we highlight the population of Deltebre, where we find the headquarters of the Ebro Delta Natural Park.

L’Amettla de

Mar

To the south of Catalonia is Ametlla de Mar (Tarragona), a small marine town of barely 7,000 inhabitants famous for its virgin coves and its red tuna.
